I like it. I really like light on snow. It's so natural (even if you didn't use natural lighting, which I can't tell either way).

Very nice effect. I think people may miss the point here though. 7

At least you made reference that you are literaly interpreting the title of the challenge, where others did not. Still there are no "light colors" in this shot.

Seems like a stark arrangement. Looks good on my monitor - plain and minimal but with excellent tonality and clean whites. Vignette seems a dash too evident, Meets the challenge, snow is white, and says so in the title - but I belive it without the title. Curious as one of my favorites in this challenge, for abstract qualities - especially for how I see the question of a background handled, a required specification. Viewed as a snow drift detail, which is what I assume it is, it has little or none. In this the subject is background. Viewed as an abstract field, still the brightest whites seem to protrude, do not flatten or recede. Litterally as light or lumens or wattage on white, it functions. Still the subject texture, as subliminal as it is - moves. The idea has potential. The workmanship and design is good.

"Take a photo in which the background is white and the subject is predominately a "light" color"

You titled this "Literally". Well, it's literally light falling on white, I recognize that, but this is not a white BG with a light subject,a s you have rendered it. However, it's a striking image, and I like it very much. I'll sretch it to a 7. You're pl;aying the same kind of game I do, it seems :-)

Nice light/shadow effects, though i believe you could have created a more interesting photo by adding a subject.
