Yeah. Hues/curves/levels/neatimage
this is my third attempt at something cool, all three being rather different; this was the last of about 100 shots of this setup, and I'm still not quite happy with it: I'd like more room around the edges, mostly, and the angle is not quite right

In the wine glass: cellophane
Object next to it: upside down candlestick holder, containing cellophane and a plastic sphere

The glass and candlestick holder are resting on a piece of 1' x 2' plexiglas, about 18" from the background.

Background: about 2' x 2' white mounting board, scrap from an earlier project

Lighting: 60W incandescent desk lamp from below, diffused slightly with a piece of paper; hand-held LED from above produces blue light on cellophane and sphere

This is probably too weird for DPC.

Far from being too weird for DPC, actually this is stunning work. Keep working with these concepts.

The gradation of the gray in the background is stunning. Purpleblue contrasts well with this, but we all ready know that because that's what the blue ribbon also does. :)
The strange line 1/5th from the bottom, don't know what to think of it. Is it distracting or does it help to add a bit of depth?

Gave it high marks even though the background transitioned to dark. (Lost 1 point)

the transition line in the background is bothersome

Great color and good job on the lighting of the foreground. I however am not fond of the crease, looks like a white table and white background, but it works very well. 7

this is a good shot but I would have rared it higher had the back ground been white, I dont think a graduated one works
