 hmm... not too sure how much it fits the topic, but as far as I know bright fresh colors were fashionable, yet they strived for elegance. The image is not that convincing, I know but oh well, I gave it a try.

I have to admit that this one capture the feel of the 70's. The only problem I have with it is the over exposure, it was probably intentional but it's distracting (IMHO). Anyway I still give it a 6 which is a top 20 for me in this challenge.

Well, back on final placing, finally decided to give a 7 ( top 10)

I really like the photo and I think it shows good emotion. However, you struck out on the title. A title to tie in to the emotion and this is a homerun. Good thing for you I don't vote on the title :)
