The game of the seventies...
No inspiration so I made a self portrait.
Hard to keep still for 1 sec.
Dunno how this will go down.
Edits : crop, resize, USM, neat image.

Thanks for the comments.
Yes I wish I had a faster lens.
Yes I wish I hadn't thrown out my old ray bans.

Teah, this was back at the beginning. Cool Bumping up.

It's great to see my grandfather's legacy living on....
...but those sunglasses?
03/01/2005 11:39:08 AM
it could be better
03/01/2005 11:09:41 AM
This is a grat idea, my only nit pick is that I would have prefered the reflection in the shades to be a little sharper.

Good idea, although for this to really work well I think the focus has to be sharper especially for the reflection.

With some focus, this ricture could have got a higher score. Sorry.
02/27/2005 08:06:25 PM
great idea. If the sunglasses were 70's it would have really made it.

I really like this shot. Pong was so cool at the time!
02/27/2005 11:53:13 AM
Wow this brings back memories. Sitting in the pub feeding 0.20c pieces into the Pong machine.
02/27/2005 05:34:34 AM
Cool.
02/26/2005 09:29:57 PM
Doing "Pong" would have been unique....but doing it through the big 70's glasses is perfect! Well done! 9
02/26/2005 09:52:03 AM
Good theme idea, and I like the execution.
02/26/2005 09:18:17 AM
nice idea - if only the images in the reflections were in focus.
02/26/2005 08:01:52 AM
I like it. Good capture.
02/26/2005 07:48:00 AM
best concept here - but not with Oakleys man

Too out of focus, I would like to see it a little sharper. Great idea though.

wonderful idea, great composition, but where's the focus ?!@? :((((
02/25/2005 04:12:12 PM
This photo craves for a focal point! Great idea though.
02/25/2005 07:47:03 AM
I love Pong! This would be cool if it was in focus.
02/25/2005 07:37:16 AM
Excellent idea!!
(but focus is bad.)
02/24/2005 09:39:43 PM
Ooooo, I lived this game.
02/24/2005 03:59:46 PM
Eye catching... as a thumbnail!
02/24/2005 01:33:32 PM
PONG ROCKS -- 70's glasses would scored +1
02/24/2005 01:03:14 PM
i'd like to see better focus on the pong screen in the glasses. great interpretation of theme.
02/24/2005 09:34:36 AM
Nice to see an original idea.
02/24/2005 08:23:27 AM
Very nice...perfectly whacked out on Pong! I like how the color of the glasses meshes with the silvery screen color. Also, how the screens look like demonic eyeballs. Intense, perfect.
02/24/2005 07:08:50 AM
I totally love this, even the blurriness of it seems right. The muted tonalities of the face are exactly right. It has that sense of bein "there" in time and space. I am afraid you'll get hammered, but I like it a lot.
02/24/2005 07:03:51 AM
Oh my the memories of that game. Wish the image was sharper but a great idea. Good luck
02/24/2005 02:50:57 AM
Focus would have greatly improved this. Nice concept, though.
02/23/2005 06:26:30 PM
great idea!
02/23/2005 05:29:20 PM
Very good. I'm not sure if you could have achieved better focus for the pong though. One of the ribbon candidates IMO. Bumping up to 8.
02/23/2005 01:24:53 PM
I might have liked this one better if the glasses were in sharp focus, but I still love this shot... brings back some memories, too! A 9 from me.
02/23/2005 11:47:07 AM
Great idea, don't think it works though, out of focus.5
02/23/2005 11:08:52 AM
Infinity setting on NeatImage but I love the effect!! And Asteroids was better too!

I really like the idea for this one. Don't know if it was possilbe to get more sharpness out of the reflection, that would have been better I think.

I like this picture idea a lot, but it's out of focus (even the glasses, not just the images in the glasses)
02/23/2005 08:58:47 AM
Cool idea. Wish the subject kept still so the glasses were in total sharpness.
02/23/2005 08:25:41 AM
creative idea. Would have been better (maybe) if the frames were more focused.
02/23/2005 05:30:41 AM
Oakley glasses in 1970? Maybe some green Ray-Ban would have fit better...
02/23/2005 05:07:53 AM
Love the concept composition, lighting and blurring effect! Well done!
02/23/2005 04:17:50 AM
Great idea...wrong glasses...
02/23/2005 03:26:08 AM
I should give you one for all the TV sets that got screen burn... BUT Pong is so cool, i'm gonna have to give you ten!!! good luck dood!
02/23/2005 02:22:18 AM
Brilliant Idea, Maybe it would be a bit better to have the screen in focus and also just a bit more light in the center. Good luck
02/22/2005 08:58:14 PM
I love the idea, but it's too out of focus. I only know what it is because of the title. 3
02/22/2005 07:27:06 PM
I like the photo, but can't see past the glasses (a much newer style).
