For all of you who commented on the droid LL being way out of the focal plane -- you're absolutely right and I appreciate the feedback. It was intentional for two reasons -- first, I simply liked the way I felt it put the viewer more fully in the action -- like you're part of a bunch of droids coming up on the scene. Secondly, that corner was where I would have put some of my ad type -- price of the Lego set, or a logo, or a tag line, or whatever. Yes, you want people to see the picture, but the written information is what you really want them to remember -- and if I can keep 'em looking down there at it...
At any rate, thank you for all the constructive comments. |

Nice use of depth of field ... |

Cute and clever but I would've preferred if you had gone out on a limb and declared this an advertisement for something. |

I used to love playing with Lego. This is a really well done ad - good job! One of my top 10. |

I dragged my five-year old son in here to look at the monitor and asked, "what's that." He looked for a minute and grinned and said, "Star Wars Legos!"
I guess you made your sale... |

better off removing the objects in front instead of them being out of focus. I liked the title |

Neat idea, but the blurry figure in the lower left and across the front kinda draws my eyes away from the action. Good set up. |

Nice shot, well arranged. I would have tried for more depth but this might be the best one could do. |

Your aperture setting is messed up |

I like this shot and add, I would of placed the Lego box / logo somewhere in the shot. |

Since nothing is moving here, you could have stopped down and gotten more of the scene in focus. Maybe this result was what you intended - it does look kind of cinematic, but that little guy at LL bugs me. Nice work on the bg and icy ground. Sharpened within an inch of it's life. |

I love the idea! I think the reflected light (or noise?) on the surface of the table is a bit distracting. |

foreground very bad out of focus. better off leaving them out. |

cute, nice depth of field and angle, background is a little cheesy |

Very creative and timely. The out of focus figure in the left front detracts. |

Hehe, nicely setup here. Good DOF, though it seems maybe a little over-sharpened. |

I like the arrangement and the way you used a reflecting floor, but I think the unsharp Lego in the forground is too destracting. |

these guys are cool. the dof is very effective, as is the background which seems like a rock cliff. a tilted angle might have given the image more movement to go with the battle scene. |

I'd have lost the droid at the front light that is very blurred. |

Great job! The crinkly paper in the background gives a good effect on this shot. |

The out-of-focus lego in the lower left takes away from an otherwise good shot. |

pretty cool. would have been better with the blurred (guy?) in the front further back and more in focus |

So cute! Somehow I don't really like the blurry objects in the foreground, but it's not all that bad of an effect. Photo 9 Advert 10 Creativity 9 total 9 |

I think the battle droid in the immediate foreground should go. My eyes are drawn to it, and it is out of focus. Cool concept though. Hopefully Episode II won't be as bad as Episode I tho |

"Uh-oh... Blast 'em!" Great idea. The blurry droid in the foreground is distracting. I'd move him a little closer and increase the depth of field. |

The objects in the foreground of this photo being out of focus are very distracting... |
