Your toaster photo ribboned in 2003, but it is still attracting admiration. It's one of my favorites on DPC, and now I've discovered another reason to love it: you took it with the Fuji S602Z! It's wonderful knowing that this little camera can produce such images.

CRITIQUE CLUB CRITIQUE

CONGRATS ON YOUR WIN, THIS IS AN AWESOME SHOT!!!!
(Disclaimor: This shot is exceedingly difficult for me to critique simply because I feel that it is almost perfectly done. It was one of my favorites in the challenge, and a deserving winner. As a result, most of my critique is simply telling what I think is "right" about the picture.)
COMPOSITION
The composition in this shot is especially effective because the eye is attracted to the lower left corner and "carried" up adn through the frame. The eye does not stray because the color contrast, in conjunction with the shape of the toaster, pulls the eyes to the brightness inside.
TECHNIQUE
Great focus through out, but I think the colors really make this shot. The blue and orange is such an awesome contrasting pair; they go well together. I know you wouldn't want to buy a new toaster just for the challenge, but one without scratches would have rocked, as well.
OVERALL EFFECT
This is one of those rare shots that makes me go, "Dang, I wish I had thought of that."
Awesome work and best to you in future challenges.

Really cool shot. I imagine this was done with a long(ish) exposure to get that clarity. Love the blue effect of the metal reflections - it really makes the heating elements pop out. Great shot!

"Wow" Nice Photography!
Challenge certainly met.
Technical aspects are quite goodt, originality with lots of talent and thought seems to have gone into this picture.
Colors of toaster and elements are great.
Visual impact is very high.
