 This is my first Challenge submission so I don't expect much, but anyway, this photo was done pretty simply, a plain Chessboard, with a white paper background. This topic was a bit challenging for me to think of something, but I thought it was a good representation of separation. I aimed the light directly at the paper and was about to get the color from the board to reflect on the paper. Brightness was lowered a little and the contrast was increased. And lastly I upped the red in the color balance. Thats all she wrote.

nope I don't like the lighting one bit. Fits the challenge, great angle, decent focus but I can't stand the lighting. the yellow orange hue through every thing looks sickly and the bright spot on the wall looks realy bad. With good lighting this could easily have recieved an 8 from me as is its a little below average.

Nicely composed. Photo is diminished by the yellow cast of the lighting. ....5....
