There are many violins in this challenge. I guess that in English, some part of the instrument is called bridge? Nice picture, anyway. A bit too dark maybe. I like the DOF, it keeps my eye focused on the violin. 7. |

I like what you're trying to convey. You're attention to the wood detail is really nice.
Perhaps try to pull the strings into focus so we might be able to see the wrap; however, this would help attract attention to the top of the bridge!! |

NIce quality of light, though I feel there could be a little more of it. And the black and white works well, and the focus is good. Did you try this shot from different angles? This works all right, but I think there might be a more interesting one than having the strings go straight across. |

This is the best violin bridge shot yet and probably the best of all. I like the curves, the contrast, everything about it. |

Excellent framing and subject. I like the overall darkness makes the strings pop out. The thumbnail doesn't do this photograph justice. |

Excellent. The B&W is so good that it almost feels like color again. It is also as if the light plays the violin, I think you captured the soul. Good work. |

I think the bridge of the violin might have been better placed off to one side or the other- the composition is a bit static with it so close to the center. |

Beautiful. I like the lighting on this, and the rather shallow DOF definitely works in favour of the photograph's mood. Focus is great and the details are at just the right level. |

I like the subject and framing. If this had been a member challenge, I'd recommend some dodging and burning to make the highlights and shadows more contrasty. Definitely some potential. |

This is the third viol bridge I've seen in this competition and it is easily the best. For instrument bridges this and the guitar bridge are in a close heat. The focus is clearly on the bridge itself and those sumptuous sound slots in the wood. Lighting is perfect and so is the composition. |
