Nice composition and subdued feel, this is a pleasing photo to look at. I agree the border is a needed finishing touch, but the white somehow seems a little harsh. Some other color....maybe the silver from the strings? And presonally I'd prefer it a little narrower. Overall, very nice job though.

I can practically feel the warmth in the wood. The lighting is very nice. Now if only I knew how to play :)

Get down close to the surface of the violin, then fill the frame with the bridge and strings only for greater impact.
