Built in 1423, Stopham is the finest medieval bridge in Sussex. Built to replace a ferry, it was not until the 1980s that a new bridge on another part of the river took away the heavy traffic. With the construction of the Wey and Arun Canal further upriver came the need for masted ships to navigate through this stretch of The Arun. The central arch was therefore raised in 1822.

I like the dramatic sky, but I feel that it dominates the shot and the bridge looks a little dark in comparison.

In my opinion, this seems a little "flat" to me.

too much neatimage? textures are lost, both on the bridge and the trees. or maybe it's too small or compressed.

I liked the sepia in this case and the shot is very interesting; gives one a sense of history.

Very cool and eerie. I like this. Great details and DOF. Color choice really works here and the tree in the center is above the bridge is intriguing. Did you try more sephia tones too?

I would have loved to see a bit more highlighting on the bridge and in the water, but this is nonetheless a beautiful scene. I think slightly less saturation might be nice, as the overwhelming brown/sepia makes it feel quite muddy. That said, the details in this really make it - the trees, the slight glow in the sky, the crisp focus on the bridge. Overall very nicely done.
