Hmmmm, I guess this is why photos are subjective. I like it just as it is. It gives the "big picture" of the scene. And, I like the way the stream on the bottom of the pic kind of "blends in" with the road at the top of the pic to get your eye to travel all the way from the bottom to the top. Now, I agree some of the other compositions would look good AS WELL, but I think this one also looks good just as it is. |

If it were possible to get low enough in this angle to show little or none of the road, the bridge also would separate from the stream and show more of a sense of "span", and I think that this change alone would produce an outstanding picture. As it is, the main problem is the way the road is resolutely tugging our eye out of where it ought to be lingering.
To prove what I'm saying, do a quick-and-dirty clone job and drag some forest over the road. See that I mean?
Nice shot, really. So close.

There are some good elements in this shot, but they are just that, elements. I think that this is an example of trying to fit too much into one shot. There are many very good photos inside this, so the use of cropping or a telephoto lens would help tremendously. Still not a bad shot to me and I think that this place is definitely worthy of a reshoot. |
