 This was a funny situation that I got myself into for the shot. I brainstormed for a while until I came up with the idea. Then, when I went to my fridge, I realized we had all but two eggs left. I called up Robert (Zap228) to see if he could come model my two eggs that I had. There was no answer so I was forced to set up a tripod and the lighting/background by myself. The lighting consisted of one kitchen fan light from above and two desk lights, one from camera right and one from the left. Then I realized that I had lost my cable release. So the actual picture taking was pretty humorous. I had to put the camera on self-timer. Then, I pressed the shutter, egg in hand... ran around my kitchen table... cracked the egg and hoped that it came out right. This shot was egg 2/2 and the only usable one. :)

I cropped it this way to avoid really harsh lighting on my hands. I know that that will probably be my downfall, but i had to decide to crop closer or avoid some blown highlights.

Great catch of the moving image though.
While I like the concept, I find the overall image to appear a bit flat. Overly lit at the top, where the hands are, and dulling the yellow of the yolk. Perhaps back lighting and toning down the front lighting would help?

well I like this shot but three things stand out that I dont like. first the mortar: why would someone use a mortor to put eggs in? Just dosn't seem to fit.

Second: the motion blur: While not a bad effect I think that stop motion would have looked more pleasing.

last of all: the hands look to be a little too bright.

Overall nice shot better than the average.
