This a bridge over a small river in a rural zone of Heredia in Costa Rica. It is very old and still it´s a wonderful piece of architecture you can see going to the north of the country. I did shoot the picture two years ago, and re-shoot it for this clallenge.
Desaturation skill was used on the picture and a polarizer lens.
Rezise for submit requirements.

A little more sharpness would strengthen this.

I hope people don't vote this down for not being all crisply in focus. Personally, I like the mood that this creates. It's mystical. Would love to see it in color too.

In this case, why Black & White? Also, too dead center.

To my mind, this photo needs a bit of sharpening.

I love the subject of the photograph, but the shot looks a bit soft. I would like to see this picture in full color, as it looks like there could be some great color on the bridge with what looks like moss growing on it.

Good photo, it has a very old feel to it. The darks are a little understated though.

It's a lovely bridge and a beaufitul scene in general. Could be helped by better focus and some contrast (like curves in Photoshop, if you have it). This looks like a fantastic place.

Too grey..bump up contrast even at expense of loosing detail in the water

Hmm, I wonder how we got this to look like it was taken with a brownie camera on consumer film of the '50s. Is there a Photoshop filter for this? It would have been a bad picture then - the falls fighting the bridge for prominence across the middle of the photo. And I think today our standards are higher.
