Couldn't think of an idea for a portrait, so I used the reflection off my computer desk.. thought it might be effective.

What a great shot if you were just a little more focused. The colors and composition are nice! 7

i don't know anything about portraiture, so i'm using your image as a guinnea pig as to what i think i would or wouldn't do in this situation, as well as what i notice and get out of your image.

i have an idea as to what you where after capturing the reflection (i tried something very similary, but it just didn't work out). i think the motion blur and soft focus take away from being able to see who you really are. i think in portraits, the elements of the image should all support the subject, and not provide unnecessary distractions. while the mouse & keyboard convey who you are, the wall & door behind most definitely distract. i think this might work from a slightly different perspective where the image isn't so evenly divided in the middle. this is certainly one to revisit. nice effort!

I like the reflection and composition, Just wish the background could have been clear, the window there is a little distracting and the picture is a little blurry but maybe thats what you were after - 6

unsharp, almost blurry. The microsoft mouse is distracting my eyes. Color wise, that green with that harsh red makes me wanna turn off my monitor :) I see you obviously didn't spend 3min setting up this shot, I guess you surfed by dpc and saw the challenge, and just pressed the shutter and uploaded the image to submit, am I right? 3

I would have cut the top to match the reflection , to respond to the scepticism in the glance : yes , it is a nice portrait !
