Me. Not perfect, photographically and otherwise. But I hope I will learn from the comments.
This took all morning. It's hard to put on a sensible expression while holding a remote and a reflector (just a sheet of white paper) and hoping :). This is the best I could come up with.
I don't like the arm too much, but it was the best of the lot...

Could use some brightening, although I love the expression and eyes.

Although the entire image is a bit too dark for my taste, I really like the pose, and composition is very nice. Beautiful eyes!

[ok, i'm really sorry about this, but i'm having a hard time scoring your image. the thumbnail looks great, and if i don't look too closely at the full image, i like what i see. BUT, on close inspection, i am finding areas of blurs right next to areas that are very sharp, particularly around your lips, your eyebrows, and your right cheek. i have a 21" monitor with high resolution, and i have to believe what i'm seeing is in the image. as much as i would like to offer more, the highest i can score this as i'm seeing it is a 5. it's a shame, because it does look like you put a solid effort into this.]

Now THAT'S a self portrait! The light is a little dim, but great composition and expression. 8

Beautiful eyes that reveal the deeper aspects of character. The low key effect works well because it places the emphasis on the white and the pupils. The dark tonal values accentuate the lips and lend a very pleasant contour to the nose. It is a lovely gaze. Bumping up.

Lovely shot, very delightful and inviting gaze. I just wish your eyes were a bit more lit to see them, I think that would have captured the views gaze. Superb work!

First of all... just a really beatiful model. I really like the image and focus is good. The only thing I don´t like it the earing which is a little bit distracting. I wanna see it after neatimage treatment, because I really like the effect of neatimage in portraits. Just a good portrait and one of the princess of dpchallenge. 9

i don't mind the low-key approach, but I'd like to see a little more contrast, especially in your eyes. raising your light source (or - if it's the sun - angling your head towards the light) would help some i think. nice to see another one (there are very few) that faces the challenge head-on. lots of half-faces and blurred faces etc out there.

Very deep eyes and such an oval face created with the angle and crop. Good luck with this lovely self portrait
