Challenge: Bridges II (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Olympus C-765UZ
Location: Window in bedroom
Date: Feb 12, 2005
Aperture: F/3.2
ISO: 64
Shutter: 1/125
Galleries: Still Life, Macro
Date Uploaded: Feb 12, 2005

Taken in super-macro mode. Shot near window for natural lighting. Pretty basic, but I wanted to shoot something different...not a traditional roadbridge like most will probably shoot. I like the negative space in the foreground, I'll be interested to hear what others think!

PS: Levels, slightly adjusted colour balance to remove green-ish colour cast.

I like this idea and how well you can see the fine grade of the paper. Good work!

Nice pic. Very unique in this challenge. My problem is with the composition. "I" would have placed the bridge, chord symbol in the lower left in order to show more of the musical notation(notes on the staff above and following the symbol.) I think the main reason you didn't place higher is because it's not a regular bridge. Don't get discouraged. Everyone on the site will agree that your own satisfaction with the photo is more improtant than anything anyone else can say.

I like everything about it except the shallow depth of field. If more had been in focus, I would have scored it higher.

Good idea, I don't like the blurry part in the foreground.

Wow, look at that narrow depth of field! Great texture in the paper.

Well exposed and composed, creative. Nice break from the traditional bridges I have been perusing (It would have been fitting to title this photo 'Interlude').

Clean lines on the printed page contribute to the clean feel of the shot. The blur of the foreground is distracting, once noticed; tighter crop?
