Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: Pain (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: My Bathroom
Date: Feb 8, 2005
Galleries: Emotive
Date Uploaded: Feb 8, 2005

There are a lot of problems with this photograph, such as the junk on the toilet seat on the bottom right and that I had to edit using basic rules, but anyway, it looks okay to me. 4.5ish grade probably.

I hope this was a posed shot and not that you're police photographer.

yuck, but very effective. I liked that most of the body is off camera and your eyes wander from the sink to the arm to the mirror. Very nice job.

The pain here is the viewers. Gruesome.

incredibly graphic, well layed out. colors are dead on, no pun intended.

Very strong entry- quite suggestive. Unusual composition works well. One of my favorites from this challenge.

gory...there seems to be much mutilation, suicide and assault in this topic of pain

Hate the concept. Love the execution. 10

Nicely composed. The blood looks real, unlike most of the entries in this challenge. The striking color of the red against the near-B&W of the rest of the image adds a lot of punch.

Very well set-up. Blood looks real, and i like the fact that you can only see some of the model in the mirror. Colors and lighting all look good!

Doesn't look like he's in any pain anymore. I'd ask if this is real, but I'm afraid of the answer.

You're probably going to take a beating on this one because many people on this site are going to consider it in poor taste. I, however, think it meets the challenge perfectly. It seems overly bright, but I think that works in this shot. Might have been a little better with a bloody handprint on the sink, but that's just being picky.
