You got that right ... Painful Life is correct. As William Blake once wrote 'All our lives we sweat and save, building for a shallow grave...' So enjoy and don't let the little things get to you because you can't take them with you when you pass on. Anyways, very dramatic capture here, and I like the dark lighting (or basically the lack of bright lighting). Good Work. |

This had such great potential... But I don't see the same emotional pain on her face that I do in the running mascara. Expression wise, she just doesn't look sad. |

Very good depiction of pain. Her eyes look very sad and pained. |

Beautiful tones. The relation between the model and the camera is very intimate. Nothing's over done. That's really nice to look at and hard to look away. |

Obvious pain, but what's the rest of the story? Who hurt her? Why? Good composition and cropping. |

I think with a different expression on her face this would have felt a little more painful. Aside from the running makeup and teardrop on her face, I'm not feelign the pain. I'm not saying that it wouldnt be possible to do....I would ahve taken about 100 shots of her and had her think of sad things. Maybe even tell a sad story and then snap away as she talks. I may be more emotional if she wasn't so square with the camera. The lighting is nice. She just looks a little posed, as if it was like "Okay let me fix this makeup, ok now hold that pose....rdy???" The expression will be the cause of at least a whole point for you in this challenge I bet. |

Love the black and white. Love that it doesn't feel forced for a picture. Good job 10 |

Could be sharper. If it wasn't for the make-up, the pain would be hardly visible. Maybe you could have included a reason for her pain in the picture. 5. |
