 The exposition time was 15 sec. Daytime, living room. For the first 5 sec the lid was rested on the hands. Then, I slowly lifted the lid for the rest of time (10 sec). A small flashlight was placed under the lid to provide additional light for fingers and keys. I made about 20 shots and selected the best one. Used crop, levels and made a frame in Photoshop. I wish I had more control over the light conditions in the room.

Ouch, Ive been there...
The composition and idea are great. My only nit pick is that you had it too long in the closed position before lifting it, giving just a little too much detail in the front of the lid..

Have you tried this shot with the hands moving and the piano stationary?

At first i didn't realize the cover was down. Admirable attempt to show motion, but it might be better at a regular shutter speed

wonderful capture, perfect blur, composition, and subect. Only complaint would be the very bright white in the top left corner - maybe a bit over exposed - then again the piano may just be that white - hard to tell from here. My favorite so far!

I don't see the pain...It would of been fetter iff all the keys were pressed down making it look liek the lid actually hit the hands.
