Oranges have feelings too!

Used 2 x 500w halogens through fabric and silver reflector (commonly known as aluminium foil staple to a sheet of cardboard). I also discovered that nail polish will soak through 3 sheets of paper and strip the varnish off a table when left for about 30 minutes! Whoops!

Hmmm....must admit it's a small stay sharp knife! I figured a machete may be a little large! Thanks for the tip!

I get it, It's a blood orange! The blood is convincing. I know this is an almost ridiculous quibble, but it looks like a cheap knife - one that could not cut through a tomato. And this makes me fear it ever-so-much less. This loss of respect for the instrument causes the photo's impact to unravel quickly. As a rule I hate gore in photos, but the humor - intended or not- makes up for this.

Powerful...I'm curious to know how many people catch the historical side of it (you'd be amazed at how many people don't know basic American history). Anyway, I like it.

After the recent movie title competition, I would love to never see an orange in a photo again. Still, this is a good picture, technically. I don't see much of the emotion of pain in it.
