Strange enough I decided to give a tree 9 points today! ;) and this tree deserve it completely, maybe some more light could be favorable at my opinion. I like the title also, sometime its better not to know, to save some pain, and trees see everything around them, even they wont or not!

Does a live tree feel pain? Does a live cockroach feel pain? Does a rock? Does a dead tree? I love photos of dead trees as much as the next guy. In fact, I hardly ever pass up an opportunity to photograph one; yet I'm skeptical that this photo is about pain. Unless its our pain on the loss of a perfectly good tree, in which case I'd expect to see a tree fallen in its prime. It's a pretty good shot of a pretty photogenic tree, but the background is just a little too distracting - especially tha tree that's behind the right branch.

This nailed how I would express my mind, when I am feeling deeply depressed. I love the depth of field and the use of black & white,

I love tree pictures! They seem to say so much more then other photographs. I think this is a great representation of pain.

I have now thought some time about this shot and the title and still can't figure out what you're referring to. All I see is an (interesting) tree, which has nothing to do with pain, at least nothing I can see. Maybe this is some kind of 'hidden face' picture? 4.

Great picture (nice focus and texture), but I think I'm missing the reference to the theme.

I'm afraid I don't get it. It's also out of focus and needs more contrast, it's very busy in b&w and hard to see anyhing.

Nice photo but it didn't tell me anything :(

Like the shot, but I don't see the challenge connection.

I am not sure I understand the message here...I see a b/w picture of a tree and am struggling to see the connection to pain, or to knowledge for that matter ..sorry (3)

A better title would be related to burn or fire.

Great twist, love the phot. I think maybe a bit brighter, but I'm no pro.
