A great poster effect. This is not the star of david as wrongly pointed out. The effect is great because it transcends into the mystical.

Cool shot, looks like a movie poster.

This would be such a beautiful photo if is isn't for the huge star of David on the eye. The problem I have with it is it takes away from the rest of the image because it is sooooo bright. The values and details in the face are awsome. Next time, if you use something like a shine of light, try not to use it so bright that it overcomes the rest of the image.

This photo would have been better without the catch light in the eye. Just kidding. Very well done one of my 10̢۪s

I know some if not most will find you photograph great. I on the other hand have to be honest in the way I see it. If I take away the bright star effect in the left eye I would of really liked the photograph. But with the star, which in my opinion is overpowering, takes away from your photograph. Without the star you have a great mood photograph with great lighting to the face and achieving great natural tones at the same time. But as stated above the star is really distracting for me. Because of that I score your photograph a 6, without the star I would of scored an 8. I know thats just my opinion and hope you respect it as I do your work. I hope others can see around the star effect and hope you do well in the challenge. Good luck!

nice idea. great angle, and the scruffy chin helps. i think the flare is a bit overdone though.

Not my style, I'm afraid. It looks like a poster for a cheesy fantasy movie. The photograph is very good technically (except for the starburst, which I know of course was the entire point of your shot.) I expect that you will get a lot more support from others, but for me, I'm afraid it's a 5.

I like this a lot. Deserves a ribbon, hope you get one. 10 from me.
Well done

Spooky. Guess the other eye hasn't warmed up yet.

Very creative and interesting image. I like it a lot but at the same time wonder if it would have been better if the star effect was smaller. There's something about that star I am not too sure about.

Ohhhhh awesome ! How did you do that ? It's impressive !
01/31/2005 04:33:28 AM
This went from a 6 to a 2 because of the lens flare. Unnecessary on such a good photo.

scary stuff, good!

The eye that is visible looks about ready to roll back into the subject's head. Very eerie. Great idea.
