I guess the white spot from the softbox on top of the tube will get some comments about. I don't find it so distracting anyway. If you look carefully, you can see the whole room where te pic was taken in the mirroring surface of the tube, even myself hiding away behind the camera :) No spot editing is allowed though

The funny thing is the tube still working in my power amplifier (you can tell it's on by the glow inside it); and the processor, which is a Pentium 133, is not, and probably will never be in use again.

Post processing:
Crop, Levels, USM, Resize.

Ha, another tube! Cool!

Well, I was wrong!!

I expected some chatting about the spot an everything went about the dust on the glass... eeeerrr! it isn't dust, it isn't even a glass!!!
The surface is metallic black finished, similar to a car, and all the specks are because of this surface finish.

I must admit I didn't see the "dust" knowing what it was, but after all the comments I feel it may have turned the score down a little. I'll try to be more open minder next time :)

Regarding the crop some of you have mentioned, I tried some others but ended liking this one the better. To me the diagonal compensates the negative space leading the eyes to the subject. Maybe a little tighter on the left...

Thank you all for your comments, they're truly appreciated.

This is a nice capture but , you could have cleaned the dust at the bottom.
May be a closer crop aswell.

Excellent work. The idea and execution is fantastic, although I think you've taken the rule of thirds a little far. Nevertheless - great work.

I find the 'speckles' on the surface very distracting.

Didn't like the empty space much, nice photo though

Nice but I think is the objects were more in the center of the photograph, there wouldn't be so much space there on the side but an even amount on both sides.

I would have used a square crop, I think negative space is useless here, and I would put a bit more space on the right. But, wonderful tones and colours, I love them! Getting rid of the dust would have made this one more effective and clear.

nice image, unfortunately the dust on the table really distracts from the photo

feels very unbalanced, if they were both on the left side the balance would be more even and I would like it much more. love the subject though

It took me a while to figure what that is a processor and a transistor. I like it.

Great capture...I would have liked to see a bit more DOF. That's just me.

Nice pic... a little bit of a shame about the dust on the glass surface.
