 Hello!

I actually spent quite a bit of time on this challenge. I knew a lot of people would have pics of babies with grandparents and such....so I thought outside the box a bit. At first my idea was to use pencils, but crayons were cheaper at the store and I liked the idea of the bright colors.

I drew with the crayons on a white piece of paper, then use 1 desk lamp for moody lighting. I took about 60 differnt pictures with different set-ups, but I liked this one the best because everything was exposed well and I liked the box of crayons in the background. I also liked how it looked like the orange crayon was coloring the scribbles on the box behind it. Barely any post processing.

Title says bright colours but they are not bright on my monitor, looks very dark.

If the old vs. new is the crayons then I think it is a weak link to the challenge theme.

Only saw one other crayon submission so far and yours could use a little more front light but is TONS better than the other.

This is a very original idea! I really like the crispness of the orange crayon. Your colors and composition are excellent, depth of focus perfect. This should place highly :)
