This is right out of the 18th century. There is a scene in the film Amadeaus that has a very similar feel to this wonderful picture. Congratulations on this beautiful capture. |

Excellent shot, JJ. I think you suffered from not meeting the challenge in a very in-your-face way. |

Your sense of composition remains an object lesson to us all - in fact, an object lesson to any photographer I could think of. Proper photography. |

What a perfect backdrop for this stroll. Image needs to be sharpened just a tad. |

what is it about me and shots with people and umbrellas? i cant resist them. :) this is great.
i love the composition, makes the people look even more alone under the vast buildings and dreary sky. wonderful. |

I like the sort of *drawing* effect the sepia tone has on this one. very nicely laid out |

This has a very old world feel to it, a tad busy for my taste, by an excellent photo none the less. 8. |

Absolutely wonderful. I love street scenes like this, they are timeless (especially in this tone).
Reminds me of the work of one of my favourite Dutch photographers Jacob Olie, who photographed Amsterdam street scenes at the end of the 19th century.
Very good. |
