you should of went with your second photo. Better composiion overall. I know you knew the man was a priest , but us voters did not. |

I, for one, not being catholic, wouldn't have known that this was a priest. Plus, the photo is out of focus. Also, as Jen said below, the eye is drawn to the sharp contrast of the white wall, more specifically, the water pipe.

Noticed you were looking for input as to why this didn't fare all that well. First off, it's not obvious that this is a priest. Second, the priest is too centered in the frame. Cropping out the white wall would have helped this as well as taking away the main eye attracter in the photo (the eye is drawn to that wall because it is in stark contrast to most everything else in the photo).
