Wow! A ribbon on my very first member's challenge... No pressure now, no.. none at all!
This was taken at 3:30pm BST on Sunday in my backyard -- a last ditch attempt at an entry. Needless to say I'm surprised at how well it did!
Thanks for the great comments and the votes! |

This is one of the most beautiful shots in the challenge. The lighting is spectacular and your choice of depth of field is perfect to accentuate the "number". |

No way to miss that one. Another leaf part (or anything else) on the other side of the image would have perhaps better balanced this image. 8 |

Great use of depth of field, and the greens are very brilliant and pretty. |

Best image in months. It really works for me. Colour is superb. DOF is wonderful. Details are sharp. A perfect 10. Best of luck in the challenge, you should win. Morgan |

Yes...it's a three, and pretty too. I love foliage pictures. Well seen, and well done. If I'd change anything, it would probably be to have less negative space. I still like it. |

Good lighting and exposure. The colors are nice too. I'm not sold on the framing and I think this is a little softer than it should be. Not a bad photo overall. |

Dramatic use of 'empty' space, nice dof, good job meeting the challenge. 7 |

Setting off the edge with the dark and unfocused background works well here...I would like it better if you cropped with less space on the left side...there's too much of a shape back there that makes me want to know what's going on back there instead of focusing on the "three"....still a nice image though...one of my favorites for this challenge. |

a perfect 3 and a very nice shot. simple and to the point. (pun intended) lol. it's a little overexposed on the edge of the leaf, however, i think that's to your advantage because it helps to bring out the 3. the angle and framing/cropping is excelent. I love the neg. space to the left. the background is very nicely blurred and not distracting at all. an excelent shot. good luck in the challenge. |

Wonderful capture and the DOF is very good, very shallow. This is my favourite shot for the challenge and will definitely bit up there in the ribbons. |

Love how you captured the light at just the right curves on the ivy (?) to
emphasize the number 3. |
