it was a perfect day with a bright blue sky and no clouds, which allowed me to use the negative feature (and then put in b&w) to get a clean negative space around the bridges (brooklyn in front, manhattan in the background) - which really highlights the structural aspects of the bridges. then i added back blue color balance to give it a blueprint like look.

Composition-Content

Composition is great, with the two bridges mirroring each other. I think that it is a very strong architectural shot, with the details of the bridges showing very well.

Technical

Personally, I really like the effect, it is strong, original and has impact. Unfortunately, I think that a lot of voters on this site prefer the more "traditional" approach, which is where your score suffered. I agree that this is a love it or hate it effect. I love it and the process you used is interesting and something which would be fun to play around with in the future. Focus is spot on and Dof is great, even though your aperture is only 3.5. Just wondering why you chose to use such a fast shutter speed and large aperture. The end result is great with good sharpness throughout the image, which I am kind of surprised about!

My Opinion
Great shot, original and has impact! Shame that the score didn't quite get over 5! However, I am sure that you are happy with the result of the shot, it's just not everyones taste! Personally, I love it!

It would have looked better in B&W or color, but your blue didn't work for me.

Looks like it came out of the movie TRON. This effect works for this photo. I have a feeling you're going to have a lot of "love it" votes and "hate it" votes. I really like this photo. The part I really love is the buildings in the background more than the bridges in the foreground in all honesty. Great photo and effect. -10

This is a nice photo effect. I like how the lines of the bridge leads your eye through the photo.

eh. .. it's okay, I guess, just not to my liking.

Interesting coloration, but I don't like appearance as a whole. The wires and darker part of the foreground bridge are really great, but the almost white parts don't seem as attractive. On the other hand, the bridge in the background really seemed to take the coloration well! Score upgrade from 6 to 7. Swash

I really like this photo - one of the very few "interesting" photo's this week. Normally I don't like negative-style photo's but this works so well. Also, great composition and focus. Well done.
