Capturing the beautiful, that's very difficult and it takes a lot of skill. Capturing the mundane and making it beautiful is photographic skill at a much higher level. Many photographers would not stop to give this a second look, but you have transformed the mundane to beautiful. Very nice.

I was simply transported when I saw this picture. It looks so surreal. It's very cold and dark, at the same time, there is all that brightness... It looks like a beautiful place, but very scary as well. One of my very favorites on the whole site!

Another image I was unable to return to because of my sudden eye problem. I am looking at it now with one eye. The combination of subject, sky and post processing makes this a good contender for this challenge. It is like something existing at a different time zone way ahead of ours. Good work and Congratulations on your top 20 finish.

This is really a great photo. I love the tones, the far out robotic look the tubing gives it, and even the burnout area. Wonderful work. Bumping to the top!

I like this but it probably would have scored at least one point higher with me if it were color

Not innovative, but hell that is a style - nice contrast, and perfect choice for subject matter.

Dunno how this meets the challenge parameters but who cares, I like this picture.

Nice stong lines and an interesting Frankenstein-like perspective. Would have liked less burnout in the highlights.

Looks like it should be shouting "Danger Will Robinson!". :-) Great atmosphere and light. Very comic book style. 8

I want this really big on my wall. How big a print can you make? 10

Love the subject and compostion. Reminds me of some kind of alien whipping about its tentacles.

This shot has a menacing and cold feel about it. The stark shift between light and dark adds to the effect. I suspect this is a factory of sort and you have transformed it into a mechanical beast. I really like how you have made something unitnteresting rather captivating. Good luck!

I love it. It's very '1950's catalogue'. Whatever technique you used, do share. 8

The values on this have gone completely wild. It looks almost like a negative image, but then again it doesn't... It'll be interesting to see what you've done with this.
