Ok, so now i'm gonna explain why my average is probably gonna drop with this shot... LOL

For this i took of my tripod mounting and taped it to the end of a ladle (about 10" long), a ladle was best because it allows a lot of movement to position the mount in the first place, to set the shot up... then i used black insulating tape to attach the kitchen knife (about 12" long) to the other end of the laddle...and hence BAYONET-CAM was born! when the camera is then screwed into the mount, the knife is always in the same place, so i used a small aperature and a exposure of a few seconds and ran at my gorgeous girlfriend with BAYONET-CAM. As she revising at the moment i only managed to get three shots off, in some the knife was in perfect focus, but the face on this one looked too freaky! i couldnt pass it up! I'd love to have had a few more attempts, but still cant complain (unless i get brown...)

cropped, neat-imaged, usm, grey-scale and whacked up the contrast.

Am currently in talks with Canon about going into mass production of BAYONET-CAM, prefect for those crowded locations ;)

Very interesting and good choice for b/w. The image or apparition looks great. Bumping up.

If only the knife were sharper (no pun intended) this would have been a worth another point from me

Very disturbing.. nice technique. Knife looks a bit peculiar with no sign of anyone holding it, but I still like this photo.

Took me a while to perceive the foreground object as a knife and even longer to get the face. The concept is quite something and the time taken to perceive the elements is well spent. My only suggestion is that if the knife were better lit (and in razor-sharp focus), the image would carry much more impact - 8

The flying knife's/ghost's perspective, execution here is absolutely flawless! The expression of grotesque fear is perfect and this dark photograph is one of the few that meets the spirit of this quite difficult challenge. Well done! 9

I didnt notice the knife at first... hmmm very scary, even more disturbing when I noticed the knife. Good concept/execution. Wish the photo had a broader tonal range of values (whites for example)
