Wow, 9th place, totally surprised. Thanks you all for your votes and especially for your comments. I do have a picture with the alternative framing suggested , and one without the people, the comments confirm that I chose the right one for the challenge, although I would choose another one for e.g. hanging on the wall. I would just have framed a little less of the bridge and a little more of the trees. But nice picture. |

Excellent - thank god you didn't turn this b&w as way too many other shots have been. Now I've seen them all, and had a few days to think, this is the shot that has stayed with me most this week: you get the ten. |

Not a good bridge to walk on at night. I like the fog. |

The haze makes this photo. Excellent photo! The people in the background are definitely a great addition to this already great photo. This has a little more of the metaphoric stuff than most or all of the other shots. Great capture. Good luck this week. this is a 10 from me |

Each time I look at this, I wonder if the people help or hurt the photo. Then I tell myself I'll figure it out next time. Well done. |

Nicely taken photo, I like the fog. The bridge (to me) seems more like foreground material than subject. 6 Swash |

Nice shot. I love the way you've gotten low to take this photograph. I like the way you've got the green moss on the sideboards, the rain on the boards in front of the lens, the little kid with the stroller and the parent at the entrance. Really nice job. Nice DOF, good focus. See that object just in front of your lens, about four feet away, I would have picked it up and got rid of it, it's a bit distracting. . .
Good job, nice photo. |

I gave you a high score, 8, but IMO, I would have liked this better without the people in the photo. |

Awesome picture. I really like how the lighting and the fogginess make the picture stand out. The focus of the image was also very nicely planed. Good job. |

Nice how the bridge leads you into the frame and how the people are framed by the trees and stone pillars. Like the mood created by the mist. |

I think this is one of the first shots I've seen that 'says' something. Granted, the challenge was changed -- but that's still a major plus for me. In addition, this is a great shot. I enjoy the centric composition, and the way the lines lead one's eye. The family at the end really seals the deal, and makes for a great, dramatic, shot. |
