So this was 'legal' and it was not a multiple exposure shot. The scale is correct for the image and bottle as it was taken in one go and carefully lit.

Gordon, your photos never cease to amaze me... Your photogrpahy is great... This is a sad representation of the voters, not the photographer... Keep up the outstanding work... :) |

This photo would have done much better if I'd have had the time to add our 'admin note' feature this week. My sincere apologies. I'll have that feature up soon. |

A parody, not an ad. Hmmm is that 74 users/8.09 score on the ground up challenge? Who could that be? |

The talent in putting this shot together is just amazing. You've stretched the camera-only side of this as far as you possible could. Nicely done! |

Cool effect with the bottle reflection, though the background blur (while fitting with the title), isn't exactly easy on the eyes |

It took me a while to figure out what was going on here. Nice effect with the shaking monitor. The bottle almost looks like it is floating in air. I like your technique here. Good job. |

Very nice multiple expoure/vision effect, but I'm not sure it's a great recommendations for your target audience, "the members of DPChallenge" -- or. then again, maybe it is...at least for the Windows users... |

Very good idea, it would be alot better if you did it from something that was more of a stable base. |

You don't like taking the anonymous route do you! Nice double exposure. It's nice the way the screen is blurred but the bottle is in focus. |

"Gordon fell off the wagon, Gordon fell off the wagon..." Flash for the bottle was a good choice, as you got that great, glowing logo working for you. You raise the bar on submission technicality, for sure. Don't let the turkeys get you down. |

would love to know how you did this. The IE window looks like it has been stretched to fit along the side of the photo ... maybe its just parallax error.
Oh well ... cool idea ... probably would've preferred a different background ... maybe a pic of a lemon with a darker background to give the bottle an even more ghostly look and keep the ad in line with the product. |

ok. i have studied this for at least ten minutes and i am stumped! I can see how you would have gotten the words blurry-- but then wouldn't the vodka's words be blurry too? how does the lid fade into the screen? this is driving me mad!!:) you must tell the secret... as for your score, you get a 10! great picture! |

Whoever made this photo needs to be sure to get it in the "how'd they do that" section of this website. This is my favorite photo in this challenge. I saved it for last to vote on because I have been trying to figure out how it was done and I'm stumped. I thought about the possibility of a multiple exposure, but in my novice abilities, I don't know if that can be done with a digital camera or not. The bottle is very translucent and I am absolutely amazed with this. A strobe or a flash on the computer screen would have washed it out and I do believe this bottle has been flashed due to the lighting level difference... Please fill us in on this capability! I hope you aren't getting a lot of hassle about this one... Great Shot! = 10 |

Holy Cow! The highest I have ever given a photo is an 8. I have to give this one a 9. There's good, and then there's so good that I don't even know what is going on. I could never in a million years figure this one out; hopefully, you'll write up a description for the "learn" section of the forum. It looks like you reflected the bottle onto your screen or some such, and then blurred it somehow - maybe by shifting the camera and using a slower shutter? I have no idea what I could say about this one that would be of any use. Nice job! :) |

Aahhhh, Gordon, now I see what you meant by people thinking this was going to look Photoshopped. Well, yes it does. Darn nice work too! I really like how you brought out the colors of the Absolut Citron label. You'll have to make another appearance in the 'How'd They Do That' section for this one. Very Nice Photo! |

The only way "I" know how to do this is through photoshop but being as its Gordon I assume you didn't, is it double exposure or something. I really like the idea but I think it would have been better if the two were in the same exposure together, as it is the bottle is athe wrong perspective and looks out of place |

I like this picture. I'm still puzzled how you did this within the rules though. The only way I can think of right now, is that you showed a fuzzy screenshot of dpchallenge on your monitor, projected a picture of the bottle on it and the made a photo of it. Anyhow, whatever way you did it, you created a wonderfull effect. Well done! |

The inebriation part is displayed well. I don't think too many of the alcoholic ads really depict a state of drunkenness though... and probably for good reason: I can't imagine it helps sales. :) |
