Looking up at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. I took this with the Canon 300D kit lens. Am I the only person who actually likes that lens? ;-)

In Photoshop, I adjusted levels and curves, then tried a high radius USM to make the building stand out against the sky.

I think perhaps this is a little underrated. There's a little blotchyness in the sky but overall this is a very compelling photo.

feels like the movie Metropolis - feels a little too sharpened for my taste. great work

This is a nice clean sharp image. The perspectives used here give me the sense that the building rather than reaching for the sky is actually collapsing or falling to the right. The lighting on this side of the building produces some heavy shadows and a rather dim subject against a bright sky. A 7.

Well done on finding a way to effectively display the architectural essence of what would have seemed to me an overwhelming subject. The perspective, cropping, and the use of light and colour are highly sympathetic ... the architect would have been very pleased with what you've done here. I like the building & love the photo. 8.

I'm not a huge fan of the point your camera skyward type architecture pics but you did it nicely and pulled of a pleasing image. Lots of patterns and lines, good color and nice diagonal viewpoint.
