I was in NYC on business on a brilliant fall day and visited Ground Zero. These steel girders remain as a tribute to the people who perished here. It was a sobering sight to see an enormous pit where the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center used to stand.

I like the placement, though I might have gone with a less centered composition.

well, this might not be the greatest picture taken, but it surely has its place! thanks for sharing, and good luck in this and the challenges yet to come!

A touching photo but it lacks clarity and there seems to be a lot of noise in the sky. Perhaps its the camera and I would have scored it a little higher with an ISO 50 to get rid of the noise. Very touching. Well done and keep up the good work in 2005.

You could rotate this clockwise a little to make the cross, the lines in the buildings and the post vertical. Also, it seems a wee bit noisy - maybe some noise reduction? I'd also consider changing the cropping to leave out the fence below the cross.

Good job of framing the cross between the buildings and using the blue sky for the background. Appears a little grainy. The image itself is nothing special, however what it represents is incredibly significant. Good Luck.

Doesn't really show the effect of 9/11 very well if that is what you were after, probably but cropping the cross and being the otherside woudl have helped?
The sign on the right doesn't help it.

Not having the cross centered (rule of thirds) would make the shot more dynamic.

A nice idea, though I feel the composition is a little too central, and the barbed wire fence and tacky sign on the right detract from the impact of this image. 5.
