Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Rafter...
I love the snow that you get in Canada... I live in an area that gets 'some' snow but not usually large amounts at any given time. Since I love snow, i really enjoy seeing nice photos of it :)
I really like the way you have chosen to compose this photo. The bridge seems to be nicely located in the lower portion of the frame. I really like your creative choice to 'frame' the bridge with the snow covered branches in the foreground of this image. This pushes my eye directly to the bridge :)
The subdued color of this snow scene also does a nice job of enhancing the feel of a cold winter afternoon. I can envision red noses and bundled up children standing behind you waiting for you to finish this photo so they can sled on the hill :)
Keep up the great work :)

I admire the way you used the limb to frame the picture in but I think it's not focused enough. Good little bridge portrayal in snow which is always tough to shoot it. You've exposed it just about right. Nice photo. |

I think your wide black frame takes away from your snow scened bridge, perhaps a 5/10 pixel would have been better. You've done a nice job using the tree as a picture frame on the left side, did you really need an outside frame? Nice wintery photography. |

The branch in the foreground is messing with the spruce in the back. It should have been higher in the photo. |

I really like this shot! You have composed it extremely well, drawing the eyes to the bridge by border-framing with the foreground branches. Background has enough interest to build on the subject without detracting from it. Really well thought out photo! Well done! |

Pretty bridge shot, but I find the branches in front a bit distracting. |

A beautiful photograph. Personally, I think the image is a little too long and that cropping a little off the top of the frame may have helped, but that is just my opinion. Lovely shot. |

The tree in the foreground is very distracting. I like the bridge behind it though, and the color is nice. - 7 |

could almost be on a christmas card - great shot, but a little too orthodox for what I give top marks to. I guess a 9 won't hurt though :-) |
