Great shot and exposure. I was remiss in getting any submissions in on time. Shame on me since I live and drive around Cleveland almost daily with our abundance of bridges ala Pittsburgh: Railway, high-level scissor, swing-type etc. Too bad the Bucs aren't coming to Cleve. for any inter-league play this year, be plenty of seats available at Jacobs
Field and we're nicer than Brown's fans. Incidentally , my wife's maiden name is Freed and you already know I'm sure that a certain Alan Freed is honored right here in the Rock Hall of Fame. Again, great pic. |

| Congratulations Alan! This is absolutely gorgeous. It's beautifully sharp and clean and I like the angle from which you took the photo. Is the water icy? Someday I would really like to know who the gremlins are that score these magnificient works 2, 3, 4 and, in this case, I 5? What are they thinking! |

Many thanks for all the kind words! I was rather lucky in this challenge, considering that our area has one of the highest concentrations of bridges in the country, if not the world!
My brother, a photographer at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, shot a spectacular photo of this bridge last fall when they added new lights to the span:

Nice pic Alan... Roberto Clemente was an awesome ball player and a inspiration to many with his humanitarian efforts. Congrats on your ribbon... Let's hope the REDS and the BUCs can put a hurt on Tony LaRussa and his CARDS this year...

Hmmm, let's see...we have the USX Tower, One Mellon Center, and the biggest clue of all which is the name of the bridge! Could this bridge be in Pittsburgh? Let me go even further out on a limb here and make a guess that this is Alan Freed's photo. lol.
Another great night shot. Nice side perspective and the star effect on the lights adds to the photo as well. Looks like you have two dead or hot pixels in the upper left quadrant. Hope your camera is still under warranty. |
