 Editing: Color correction, crop, levels, increase saturation, increase contrast +1, slight noise removal, resize, unsharp mask, save for web.

This is my second entry with my Digital Rebel. I'm starting to like it better now that I know what all the buttons do and I can operate things without putting my reading glasses on to see the back of the camera.

These huge rocky outcropings are near Del Norte, Colorado. They look lovely in the setting sun. It was a strangely warm day and all the snow had melted making the ground so muddy you sank to your ankles in it. The road was a mess with mud and snow - if we didn't have a 4 wheel drive we would have been stuck.

I used a pic of this same rock formation in the B&W challenge. It looks a lot different in color.

I have hiked here several times. It is beautiful area. It is hard to take a bad picture here. Well done. Too bad the poppies weren't blooming.

hmmm, seems this is a recurring theme, but not an idea that entered my mind, so way to be creative! i love the positioning of the rock formation, creating a horizon that's neither here nor there, and that bright blue sky offers excellent contrast. well done!
