This looks like it would've been a really nice entry had it been larger. At this size it's difficult to judge. I do like the reflection of the sky, clouds and gear in the water. |

This a nice image however you need to maximize pixels and it seems a little over sharpened. You may get penalized for that. Good Luck. |

what an interesting image. i think you probably have a knack for coming up with some pretty fun stuff, and am looking forward to your other work. in the meantime, though, take a few moments to work through the tutorials related to preparing images for challenges. i think you might be losing points unnecessarily due to both image size and quality. in challenges of this size, voters are not very forgiving when it comes to simple things like size and quality. nothing is worse than having a great image that comes across poorly. if your scores and comments here don't meet your expectation, please don't take it personally. just look at this as a starting point, and keep on shooting and submitting! good luck in this and all the coming challenges! |

Like the idea here, nice perspective and subject. There are a bit too many distractions though. Also, I'd try and make your next submission a little bigger - it loses a lot of the impact when under about 600 pixels on at least on side. |

Could have sized it bigger to fill the longest side at 640 pixels. |

Nice colors. Why so small? |

Well the photo does have some interest. Right off you have a problem in that it is very small, it is a good idea to use the full 640 that is allowed. In the end the photo does not hold my interest for very long. |

The thumbnail looked good, but the full size picture is way to small.
I also can´t tell if the picture is a low resolution one or if it is oversharpened giving it some unpleasent artifacts which are evident in the grass and the clouds.
Would have loved to see a larger version of this picture.. |

Nice reflection caught in the water. I would recommend using the full 640 pixels that are given for posting. It allows the viewers to see the details and will in turn score your images higher. From what I can tell this appears to have been slightly oversharpened. |

It's quite intriguing, but the very small image size of our submission is bound to hurt you - especially from those vieing on bigger display resolutions. From the look of the vegetation, the grain of the gear, it seems heavily sharpened - though my guess wouwld be that it's actually your re-sizing process. Difficult to be more judgmental in these circumstances. |
