Could not help but notice the subtle beauty in this image. A definite wall hanger. |

Simple. The focus on the droplet could have been a bit better. The background is nice. |

Probably the best example of bokeh in the challenge. Excellent composition, captivating subject. Oh yeah, and nice bokeh. ;) 10 |

Wow. that's killer! The bokeh is not particularly striking, but as an example of shallow DOF, it's entirely amazing. Nice muted color palette; good smooth lines. Wouldn't be surprised to see this place; almost expect it to be in the top 10. |

this is an interesting shot that could be even more interesting with more detail in the drop. on the other hand, working with droplets is a major PITA, so kudos for that. you have achieved a nice bokeh effect, i just think that there is too, too much dead space in the image as a whole. you could easily do without the left 25% of the image (hold your hand up to the image, and you'll see what i mean). it could also stand to lose a bit off the top. aside from that, this is pleasant image. good luck! |

good clarity on the subject, simple and elegant. nice and sharp, great color difference between foreground and background. |

Some might dismiss this as merely shallow DOF and not bokeh but since I'm using the broader definition of bokeh as the aesthetic contributions to overall image of the blurred areas of an image this works for me! And it's one of my top 5 favourite entries in the challenge. I just love the way the blurred branch curving away into the corner creates a sense of compositional balance and depth to the image. It's just gorgeous! |

A beautiful macro, great use of dof, but not bokeh in my opinion. Just a wide open aperture. I'm not going to beat you down with a 1 though, don't worry. Too much confusion in this challenge. |

beautiful picture but the BG is just a neutral to the subject, no real bokeh-sense or artefacts here. |
