 Taken at our July 4th, celebration in Tracy, Ca. I had the rare opportunity to enter in to the "envelope" of the ballon as it was being filled. This shot is of the owner as he readied it for my entrance. It was taken at approximately 6:30 AM as the morning sun was just right.

This is nice, though I do remember seeing another shot similar to this where the person was in complete silhouette. This might have worked better here, too.

This image is a really great starting point. Two suggestions - crop in closer so that you don't have the dark spaces on the edges - just the colours of the balloon and the silhouette would make a powerful shot, also darkening the silhouette slightly I can almost make out facial details and can tell that he's wearing a blue shirt - solid black would work better. Other than that this is a really terrific idea.

Wonderful profile, the balloon creates a very good background. That and the strong light vs dark makes the photo work really well.
