Froze the egg overnight and then peeled it revealing the inside. I built a tent around it to minimize the reflections in the bud vase. One single clamp on light was used plus diffused sunlight through a window.

Seems like a good concept to me. Your focus was pretty good, though as some said, it seemed weak on the egg. The lighting was the strong point of this photo, and to eliminate all reflections was commendable. Good coloring. The crop might have been different to improve the photo, especially on the bottom.

A bit out of focus, but the idea is wonderul and your light seems terrific.

A ribbon winning concept and photograph. And you get an extra point for no border.

Nice... It almost looks like a flower being perched on that candlestick.

Good idea! The play of light on the candle holder is very interesting, no hot spots at all. That must have been difficult to achieve. I also like the way the shell goes up each side of the egg evenly.

interesting concept :) I think that cropping a bit off the right and left sides would enhance the vertical nature of the composition... - setzler

Very creative shot... I still say the shell has a yellow cast, though. ;-)

Very elegant. Stands out well. Tad more focus on the egg for me.
