 Taken in the last rays of evening sun on the hill behind my house. Original had some motion blur and didn't work despite the lovely sunset colors. But after some fiddling around in PS (all Basic-legit), I realized that the softness could be harnessed for an 'antique glow' in a duotone version. It also made my son's coat even more similar to the tree trunk...

* Raw adjust exposure (no crop)
* DigiDan's B&W-convert action
* Levels (darken blackpoint & center)
* Curves (notch down near center of curve)
* Colorize
* Scale down (bicubic softer)

I really liked the dark tone of this shot and thought it was a perfect image for this challenge. Very well done!

Great b/w. The focus seems a little soft, which may be intentional? but imo it's a little bothersome not being able to focus clearly on the model's face. But points for quoting Frost!
