This is technically a very nice photo. Some people might like the extreme contrast of the white sky/dark trees and background, but I think it's a bit too extreme. The perspective of the photo dissapearing directly in the center seems really boring to me. I took your photo, and cropped it a few different ways here.
All in all, I think the basic idea was very good, but could have used with a more interesting orentation, as well as a bit less sharpening in the final image. |

Love the black and white - almost feels "cold" like you're really there |

Railroad tracks are a common take on the" leading lines off into the distance" idea but I love the way this photo does it. The contrast and the composition are great |

Nive picture, but the sharpening done here is far from subtle, and although you have great leading lines, the lines lead to nowhere (3) |

I'm led - then there is nothing at the end...I feel so cheated. |

An excellent example of leading lines. |

Lines are good but I'm not sure what subject that they are leading to. Grey border may be a bit too much. |

Decent b&w photo. the whites are white, but a little bright for my taste. Washes out any detail in the snow |

The lines are here, but what do they lead to? |

so far my favorite pic of the challenge! i love the B&W--and the snow does wonders for it--really enhances the contrasts! the composition is wonderful--i like the feeling of looking into infinity! great work. |

Like the photo very much, especially the black and white treatment, and the centering of the train tracks - very effective. Fits the challenge well, like the border too. Nice work. |

Very nice lines, but I find the contrast too much. I cannot see any detail in the houses and trees down the tracks. |

The contrast seems just a little too strong for my tastes, but I still like this shot a lot. I've been finding myself attracted to railways for photos myself lately! |

I see perspective not leading lines. Great photo though. I love the b/w. |

interesting shot, but the lines don't lead to a subject or point of interest... - setzler |
