serously, more effort, (I know, I'm a jerk)

I may be wrong, but the work you did on this one from a few days ago fixed the underexposure of the root system. I am sure that it was a lot darker earlier this week. Good concept.

I like the background very much. Wish the focus had been a little bit more on that thumb though and not the leaves.
05/03/2002 04:26:00 AM
Nice interpretation. Focus seems a bit off though on the thumb. Seems more focused on the flowers.. A greater DOF would have brought everything in focus.

superb title. nice twist on plant theme
05/02/2002 11:49:00 AM
Certainly gives you a worms eye view, from the ground up!

I like it ... very creative! Implies that this 'daisy' will be planted in the ground and make it's way UP. Nice overall composition. Terrific! .............. hi bro! Loveya, Cat

excellent concept, too bad it's out of focus
05/01/2002 07:13:00 AM
One of my top 10! Wonderful idea. Can't get closer to the ground than that.
04/30/2002 10:59:00 PM
I like the idea, but just a bit washed out by the sun's brightness.
04/30/2002 12:13:00 PM
Needs a little more DOF. Clever Idea.
04/30/2002 09:15:00 AM
congrats, the winner if better focus and a tad bit more light. still a 10 though
04/30/2002 07:25:00 AM
great idea that suffers, I think, because nothing quite seems to be in focus -- is it possible to set a manual focus on your camera? If so, maybe guess at a focal distance, set it, and then shoot?
04/30/2002 06:50:00 AM
cool idea. i'm sure you know this, but the dirt is way out of focus.
04/30/2002 04:44:00 AM
Seems to be a little out of focus. Good idea for ground up shoot. :)
04/29/2002 05:29:00 PM
Cool idea, but could use better focusing. The sky's overblown as well.
04/29/2002 12:27:00 PM
Interesting!
04/29/2002 12:02:00 PM
i like your idea
04/29/2002 11:52:00 AM
clever
04/29/2002 11:51:00 AM
???
04/29/2002 10:09:00 AM
Cool idea!
04/29/2002 10:02:00 AM
could be sharper. nice title :-)
04/29/2002 09:42:00 AM
I like the title
04/29/2002 06:49:00 AM
Sharp focus in the foreground of this photograph would have enhanced it greatly. It seems that the leaves of the plant got nice focus but the roots, which are closer to the camera lens, did not.
04/29/2002 06:11:00 AM
so this is what the ground sees when stuff is coming down on it. interesting.
04/29/2002 06:00:00 AM
very good idea, and i like the change from buildings.
04/29/2002 05:15:00 AM
okay decent idea, but it would have been better if you had taken the picture as you were placing it in the ground, and you could have gotten more of the background
04/29/2002 05:06:00 AM
interesting idea
04/29/2002 04:41:00 AM
Nice concept of theme. Little bit blurry on left side.
04/29/2002 04:08:00 AM
I would have liked to see greater depth of field, but the subject is a good one for the challenge.
04/29/2002 02:24:00 AM
Is ground still ground when ground has been plucked out the ground? Wow, four grounds in one sentence. Oh yeah, nice picture.
04/28/2002 11:47:00 PM
Good idea, but not in focus
04/28/2002 11:31:00 PM
Marks for being brave and getting the camera dirty :) The brightness outside the hole is really distracting to me tho
