What a precious moment caught. Any parent would beam having this on their wall.Only suggestion I have is to clone out the blue toy in the lower right corner. ((7)) |

Aww! Cute face. Overall, the image is pretty dark and has a bit of a green color cast to it. I'll usually try to get the skintones in a shot to balance out with how my subject actually looks. The other place to look for color balancing is a birght primary color. In this case the yellow bucket. See the green tint? An adorable moment though. |

looks like somebody's having a bit too much fun! while these images typically don't score well with the mainstream viewers, don't take that to heart. no score on dpc should ever minimize what you are able to do for your family with your camera. good luck, and keep shooting! |

I'm going to try this again. I went through and typed this all out once and when I cast my vote, it must have timed out and I lost everything. I think this photo has potential, even though, in all honesty, it is technically poorly done.
You captured a great expression on this childs face, showing the true innocence of a child.
Here are some of my suggestion on making this a better photo:
- While there are some blownout highlights on the jacket, the image overall looks a tad underexposed.
- The white balance is off, as there is a blue/green tint. You can fix this, for the most art in Photoshop, but setting it in camera is best.
- Don't oversharpen. There are bad "jaggies" around almost all the edges, really noticable on her chin and the pail.
- Using a shallower DOF would blur the background and help seperate the subject from it.
- Move some of the clutter out of the background before taking the shot. The way it is, it looks like she has toys growing from her head and back. :)
- Clone out the toy in the bottom right of the photo
If you would like to see a re-edit to see how some of these suggestions would improve this photo, feel free to PM me. You don't need to wait for the end of the challenge, since I have already voted on you photo. I hope my critique helps you. |

Lovely little girl but I feel this is just a little snapshotty, the white balance is all wrong, too blueish and very unflattering.. |

The lighting here is odd and the focus seems soft. Cute capture though. |

Photos of children are hard to score, the photo mean much to the person who took it but to others it may look like just another photo of a kid. |

This photo appears to have a cyan color cast. |

Cute little girl. Focus appears soft...I would have brightened and tweaked the colours. |
