 This is a wheel of a steam engine on show in the Museum of Transportation, Budapest.

Post Processing:
Cropped
Cloned out some distracting white spots
Adjusted Levels
Adjusted Curves
Applied Sharpen, Blur, Burn and Dodge tools on selected areas
Masked out black area at the top and lightened seperately to get some hidden details
Resized for DPC

This is technically a stunning shot. It is also a master composition. The brilliant use of line and the great backdrop of the wheel and spokes, further enhanced by the circle motif in the background is brilliant. The cropping is perfect. This image is one of the best in the challenge. Great shot. 10

Cool. This looks really mechanic. The colours are just right, there's some orange rust which goes well with the many shades of black. I like the detail you got into it. The crop is interesting, the wheel looks dynamic, the off-center composition adds a lot to the picture. 10.

This is the best I have seen so far, including mine. I like the framing and the color and sharpness. The old war horse put out to pasture.

The composition works well, this would have looked great with a boost to the saturation to really seperate the main 2 tones.

This is exceptionally nice. I'd like to see a slightly more agressive tonal range (a little denser in the dark-but-not-black areas), and I'd have been inclined to 'shop out the light rub-marks above the wheel.
