I really like the hazy look and the shadowing on this one. Nice shot. |

Hehe, the title is a bit over the top... I'm not sure you took this challenge seriously. However, I absolutely LOVE this photo! It's so dramatic and cool, full of movement, personality and atmosphere, the kind of wild creativity we don't get much here. I'm giving it 10 and putting it in my favourites as soon as the challenge is over. |

I like this a lot. Nevermind an advert, it would look great in a magazine supporting an article.
The softness of the face and minimal colours work really well. Needs a bit of spot editing to get the final product but otherwise great work. Well done. |

Please don't take this the wrong way, but she looks like she has one big eyebrow that goes from one pupil to the other. Its too soft, plus the hair is in focus. |

This picture sure could be used in an add but it kind of needs thtext of the add tommake it say anything. It is kind of empty on its own merits. With your border I expect the soft focus is intentional. I think sharper image would be nice too. 6 |

Interesting shot, I can definitely see this being used for some type of ad. Love the border- how did you do it???? |

Nice effect here. The left side is a little out of focus but that isn't too bad because lots of stock photos are like that so you could have done that deliberately. I would have prefered to see more of the subject's eye, it seems to be too much in shadow. How did you manage to get that border like that without spot editing? |

Imo the crop is a little tight and the focus seems a bit too soft, the lighting is excellent. |

Wow, talk about a title that explains things ... good thing this is a photography site :-P Challenge met. I'm torn about your picture. I very much like the composition, the stark shadows, the frame works extremely well with it. I wish the woman was just a little more sharply focused. There are a couple of tiny (nitpicky) distraction behind her hair that you could easily clone out after the challenge and before sending this to an ad agency. I think I'll have to come back and look at this one a couple of times to determine my final score. :) |

I like the border. I like the soft focus because you had an ad in mind when you took it. The product or the text on the right side would have to be sharp and in focus. Good luck in the challenge. |

As your title suggests, the right side could be used for text. However, one thing photo buyers are looking for is sharp images and this one isn't. |

Concept is could. The half lighting works. But... it would need something more for my ad. Focus is blurred, not soft. Could you have gotten a sparkle in the eye with a little different ligthing? |

The shadow is effective. I think a sharper focus may have made this picture more appealing though, as it looks out of focus and not like you were intending a soft focus. |

I was trying to think of a product that would use this type of imagery, I wonder what you imagined. Perfume, anti depressants, AIDS awareness, battered women. She has a bit of a furrowd brow and that evokes a troubled feeling. I would like a little more light in her right eye but I think you accomplished your goal. Very nicely done. |

The idea is good but the technics need working on. The left side of the face is too blown out and the focus is a little too far off to be considered soft. Keep at it! |
