 A home studio shot using apple pealer as mechanical tool and a Fuji apple on a glass cake stand with underlighting. Photoshop touches included (not in this order) rotate 180, cropping, greyscale, brightness, contrast, dodging, burning, sharpening, dust & scratches.

beautiful silhouette and sort of intriguing mechanism (for me at least). I would just prefer the apple to shine less (or with a different shine?)

Interesting photo. Good lighting control. I'm torn though. I keep wanting to see some color on this - in the peel or handle of the paring tool, but it's good b&w!

Really nice photo! The lighting is so interesting...combined with the B&W. You've made the apple look almost artificial...or glass-like....whicj is really neat, with it being inside a glass bowl. I think you spent a lot of time with this...and it shows!

an oddly confusing image. I'm not sure but what the monochrome is workign against you in this case...Love the juxtaposition of curves.

Great shot, but I think the apple is a bit too bright. It looks a little unnaturual.
