Thanks for all the comments. I am very pleased with my 9th place finish. Often times there is so much work to set up a picture to get it right. Mother nature made it easy for me. |

Top ten isn't bad but I thought you would have done a little better. One of the more enjoyable captures. Congratulations! |

I'm genuinely shocked that this shot didn't ribbon. I would have placed yours among the top three. |

Meets the challenge theme well. I really like the deep rich colors of burnt orange and brown here, as well as, the testure. Imo, the compostiion is lacking and I wish you could have included more brown leaves and green grass to balance things out a bit. The grain also is film like and very appealing to my eye. |

Nicely found! I think the frost gives good context to a "seasonal" item gone rotten. The inclusion of leaves on the right seems so appropriate, but the crop still bothers me--I'm not sure why, maybe it's just too even top, bottom and left--that's hardly much to help you, just want more weight below the pumpkin, I guess. |

I really like the feel of this. The dead leaves help set the mood. |

I think this symbolizes what happens to every human begin when they become old. You know, we grow mold and our face caves in. Very comical. |

Nice lighting and detail. I might have posed a few more leaves around the pumpkin. |

I find this photo to be a little dark and out of focus a little bit. Perhaps a fill flash or a difused flash would have added a little more light without ruining the picture. |

very nice. the frost (i am hoping thats not mold), really adds to the shot. gives the pumpkin an old man look...not that i know any pasty white, scaly old men...but it just gives me that feeling...in other words...nice shot |
