 50 year old pencil sharpener mounted on a beam in my basement. Flashlight used to add light.

Cropped, adjusted levels, burned backgound, applied history brush to bring out sharpener, adjusted hues, applied neatimage, added border and saved for the web.

Great shot. I like the point of view and the shallow dof. The warm wood colors are a nice background to the metallic greys in the sharpener. The fact that it is facing left (looking to the past) enhances the feel of it being a thing of the past. Nice job. 8

Really like the colours and textures in it. I feel that a diagonal composition would have made it stronger though. Nice work.

Nicely composed with interesting lighting. I also like the shallow depth of field. You really discovered something unique in the form of the pencil sharpener. I like this photo the more I look at it.
